I have been practicing massage since October 2000 and have loved it from the very first class I took. I received my massage therapy education from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in Laguna Hills, CA (the best massage school in Southern California).
In Southern California I have worked in numerous spas; such as Bodycentre Day Spa in Lake Forest, Blue Coast Medical in Fountain Valley, Amadeus/Aveda Spa and Gaylee Signature Spa in Newport Beach. I had many different experiences with each place that I worked and learned a great deal as well. I also had a small group of private practice clients, mostly pregnancy massage, that I would massage every once in a while.
My family and I moved to Vancouver, Washington in January 2006. Since then I had been aching to startup or purchase a massage business. While starting my private practice, Whole Life Massage, I also worked 1-2 days per week at Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa (a great place). Business was up and down, normal for a service business. I was still really wanting to expand and work on more people. I started again looking for a massage practice to purchase.
I purchased Classic Touch Day Spa from John and Nancy Reiley on October 1, 2008. So far, its been a great experience running the spa. My husband and I have great plans for updating the spa and services to better the overall client experience.
Along with practicing massage at Classic Touch Day spa, I am also doing out-call massage appointments with Whole Life Massage and of course spending time with my 2 kids - yup very busy these days.
